Dental Implant Crowns

An implant crown is a prosthetic tooth that replaces a missing tooth or a decayed part of a tooth. It's attached to a dental implant that's surgically placed in the jawbone by an oral surgeon or implant specialist. Implant crowns can restore the appearance of your smile and your ability to chew. They can mimic the appearance and functionality of natural teeth.

How it works

The root of the natural tooth is removed and replaced with a titanium implant.
A post on the implant holds the implant crown in place.
The implant crown is attached to the implant's abutment.
The crown is the visible part of the tooth that you use to chew.

Types of implant crowns

There are two main types of implant crowns: cement-retained and screw-retained.
